FEFCO 0711: Pre-glued auto bottom with RSC top flaps
This style arrives flat with its bottom already glued, so it springs into a closed-bottom box when opened. The top carries ordinary RSC flaps, so it is closed like any slotted box.
Dieline
Construction
- The four body panels match an RSC, joined at a manufacturer's joint.
- Bottom flaps are die-cut and partly glued at the factory so that squaring the box locks the bottom shut.
- Top flaps are RSC flaps: half the width, meeting in the center.
| Part | Size |
|---|---|
| Top flaps | W ÷ 2 (RSC) |
| Bottom | pre-glued self-locking panels |
Closure. The bottom closes itself; the top is taped or glued like an RSC.

The drawing is a schematic. The shaded areas mark factory glue on the self-locking bottom.
When to use it
Good for
- Hand-packing stations where speed matters
- Lines without a bottom taper
Watch for
- Die-cut and factory-glued, so it costs more per box than an RSC
- Heavy loads may need tape on the auto bottom as well
